What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy aims to empower a person to become self-aware and understand how their emotions, thoughts and behaviours interact.

It is vital that you are and feel you are an active participant in these sessions as this ensures therapy is most effective in achieving your goals and addressing your personal challenges

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, an evidence-based treatment recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy aims to support you to become autonomous in your life through identifying and challenging dysfunctional patterns and negative distorted thinking. This approach fosters autonomy and self-awareness.

During our CBT sessions, we’ll explore your experiences and create rational reflections to understand what sustains your distress. By actively participating, you’ll feel empowered to achieve your goals and address personal challenges effectively.
